Reiki has become a part of the mainstream vernacular here in the west over the past twenty years and for someone like me, I could not be happier about it. If you are interested in the practice of healing with hands or the channeling of life force energy to help health or general well-being than reiki is right up your alley. Called quackery or psuedoscience by most western minds of medicine and science, reiki has been practiced for thousands of years in the East and many would argue for good reason – because it works (probably).
